A nice spicy apple simple syrup, great for use in wintertime and holiday drinks.
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 apple, cored and diced
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- Add sugar and water to a pot and bring to a boil.
- Once the sugar has been completely incorporated into the water, remove from heat and add the apple and spices.
- Let steep for two hours or so.
- Strain mixture through a fine strainer.
- Refrigerate for up to 30 days.
